The Queen's 90th Birthday!

Mrs Rothery, along with some of the children, have created this incredible cake to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. Isn't it amazing!

She also made two other cakes, which you can see at the bottom of the picture. One is another celebratory cake.

The other is to celebrate the fact that the school is soon to be demolished, to make way for our new school build. We are holding a heritage day so ex-pupils and staff can look around the school one last time.

Zulu Warriors at Wold Academy

The Zulu Warriors visited Wold Academy to perform for us.

Year 4 were lucky enough to have various workshops with them, including learning how to dance like a Zulu Warrior.

Chess at Wold

Sheffield on Saturday 16 April 2016.
The Megafinalists

All had a wonderful day and all children won at least one of their chess games.     A marvellous achievement!

We continue with Chess at Wold and look forward to the Hull & District Schools Chess Day being held at Wold Academy on Saturday 14th May 2016.  The day promises to be quite an event with entrants coming from as far afield as York and Wakefield to take part.

Bring on the Chess!
