Foundation 2 were the first children to have a cookery lesson in the new classroom. They all had an exciting time sitting on the stools, putting on hair nets and aprons. The best part was eating the biscuits at the end - yum! 🍪
Today has been a brilliant day for Wold Academy. We have been raising money for the Alzheimer's Society. The day has been organised by Cory, a pupil who is incredibly invested in this cause. He organised and put on an assembly about Memory Cafes with a few of his friends.
We also had lots of buns to sell to help raise money for the Alzheimer's Society, which were kindly donated to us by Greencore Group and decorated by the Memory Cafe.
Mrs Rothery, along with some of the children, have created this incredible cake to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. Isn't it amazing!
She also made two other cakes, which you can see at the bottom of the picture. One is another celebratory cake.
The other is to celebrate the fact that the school is soon to be demolished, to make way for our new school build. We are holding a heritage day so ex-pupils and staff can look around the school one last time.
All had a wonderful day and all children won at least one of
their chess games.A
