Baking for the Lord Mayor - congratulations

Mrs Rothery's cookery club were asked to take part in a competition - baking for the Lord Mayor. The children made their buns or cakes on Monday lunchtime and decorated them on Monday night. The skills the children showed were amazing and the finished products were fantastic! It was lovely to spend the time with such committed and  enthusiastic children.

The children gathered together on Wednesday and went off to the City Hall were their cakes were arranged on display. After a tense time waiting for the judges to announce their decisions, the children found out that they had come third. Very impressive as they were not only up against other primary schools but some of the local colleges as well!

A massive congratulations to all - the cakes and buns were truly first class!

Mrs Everingham

  1. Well done to the Y6 children who represented the school at the bake off, they were absolutly brilliant, out of all the schools and colleges they were by far the smartest, politest and happiest. You should be very proud of yourselves, well done Mrs Rothery and the Cookery club.

  2. well done to you all it was good to see so much enthusiasm for baking well done
