Marble Challenge

This week in F2 we have been engaged in a new learning challenge to develop our fine motor control.  The first challenge is to use a pincer grip to pick up and move a marble, the next stage is to balance a marble on a golf tee, the third challenge is to pick up a marble with training chopsticks and balance it on the golf tee.  This has been a big challenge but has proved very successful and the busy fingers tray has been a popular choice this week.  These sorts of activities are excellent for helping us build our control and to help us refine our co-ordination so we can control pencils and pens for writing and drawing and do other things like tying shoe laces.
